"Harlem" Langston Hughes
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
Like a raisin in the sun.
Or fester like a sore and run
Does it sink like rotten meat
or crust and sugar over like a syrupy sweet
Maybe it just sags like a heavy load
Or does it explode?

As Langston has taught us:
What happens to a dream achieved.
It doesn't dry up like a rasin in the sun
It doesn't fester like a sore and then run.
It don't stink like rotten meat
It don't crust and sugar over like a syrupy sweet.
It don't sag like a heavy load
It just explodes.
